  • Patience is a virtue

Patience brings good things in life.

Patience teaches you to be... well.... patient.

it teaches you to not take things for granted.

my girl is finally moving back to Chitown, and in 3 months i'll be moving into my Chicago loft.

while i've really hadnt had a chance to choose to be patient or not

i have still understood the importance of being patient.

for good things come to those who wait.

  • 2006 NBA DRAFT

Today's the day!!! What will the Bulls do?!?!

We have the #2 and #16 pick of this year's draft...  that's some choice picks right there... considering we are the only top 14 team that made it to the playoffs yet we still have a lottery pick.. lucky us!  But this is it for the Bulls, our fork in the road that sets our direction for the next 5-10 years I think.  Currently the Bulls are in the middle of the pack, mediocre if you will.  We make the playoffs, but cant win the first round.  This is our chance to get some great players via the draft and free agency.  We have lots of salary cap space to sign, although next year's free agents are a better crop than this year's.

Here's our 2 paths the Bulls could be on for the next 5-10 years depending on their decisions this offseason:

    1.  Draft some great players in the draft, and possibly sign a "big" this offseason that will help us down low.  Result:  We become a great team that will advance in the playoffs for years to come.

    OR

    2.  Draft some ok players, and sign some free agents who dont pan out.  We could be stuck in as an average team for years and years.  We will receive middraft picks for years and fight to make the playoffs every year only to end in bitter disappointment.

Who will the bulls draft?  Tyrus Thomas? LaMarcus Aldridge?  Adam Morrison?  Rudy Gay?  Brandon Roy?  Who will it be???  will we trade our pics?  will we trade duhon or chandler for another high draft pick?   hmmm the possibilities are endless... this is the most exciting draft in recent years cuz no one knows whose goin to be picked 1st all the way down the line... its all a mystery!!!

    GO BULLS!!!

  • Chicago Art Institute Day

i took a half workday last Friday cuz i went
with my friends Lora and Richard to the Art Institute of Chicago and
Millenium Park.  They stopped by my work and checked out my "office"
hehe..  Then we had some lunch over at Au Bon Pain.... it was aight :)
Then off to AI of Chicago and the park!  Here's some pictures... it
was great weather but all that walking in the sun got us pretty damn
hoTT..  the water at the park cooled us off as you can see below, but
it was still fun.  Later that night we chiled at Starbucks and answered
some questions that Richard has in some book.. weird.. lol

    Anywais,
we ate dinner with Michelle Sanchez at Prairie Rock Brewery... and had
some drinks of course, then chilled and played some games at good ol'
    Gameworks
i love that basketball game, and that football game was tight as hell
hehehe, im not too bad at it....  All in all, it was a good night to
get out and hang with some friends yeehaww!

  • I know i've been away, but here's some pix i wanted to share with
yall..  I've been traveling a lot lately.  In fact i've been
to 5 new cities within a week's time.  Houston, Dallas,
Indianapolis, Detroit and Cleveland.  Mostly for business of
course..  But things are a lot different nowadays, and life is
    Great :)

So here are some pix from my weekend in Dallas.  Sherry and i did
a lot in the 2.5 days i was there.  Crawfish by the pound, 2
movies, Texas steak and tasty draft beer, dimsum, pix at the beautiful
Las Colinas area, bubble tea (2X), ice cream, whataburger and some
    TexMex..mmMMmmMmmm

The weather was about 75-88 degrees, sunny and partly cloudy with a
constant breeze..it was what you would call perfect weather.   Overall, it was a really relaxing weekend with Great eats with someone i love to spend quality time with.
